The 2026 North American Adaptive Skateboarding Championship is the inaugural launch of a premier adaptive action sports event in North America. It brings together adaptive skateboarders and WCMX athletes from the United States, Canada, Mexico, and around the world for a weekend centered on competition, progression, community, and celebration.
Hosted at La Quinta X Park in California, the championship highlights the continued growth of adaptive skateboarding and WCMX while creating an inclusive space for athletes of all levels to compete, connect, and inspire.
Open to international participation, the event is designed to unite the global adaptive action sports community on one platform focused on opportunity, visibility, and progression for adaptive athletes. It is officially sanctioned under World WCMX competition standards and features divisions for both Adaptive Skateboarding and WCMX disciplines.
Event Overview
The 2026 North American Adaptive Skateboarding Championship is designed to elevate adaptive skateboarding and wheelchair motocross by providing a professionally organized competition platform built around fairness, progression, athlete development, and international-level judging standards.
Athletes will compete in multiple divisions including:
- Adaptive Skateboarding Street
- Adaptive Skateboarding Park
- WCMX Pro Men
- WCMX Pro Women
- WCMX Amateur Divisions
- WCMX Youth Divisions
- Non-Competitive Showcase Divisions
The event will feature official judging, athlete practice sessions, sponsor activations, vendor booths, media coverage, awards presentations, and community engagement activities throughout the day.
World WCMX Sanctioned Competition
The North American Adaptive Skateboarding Championship follows the current World WCMX Rulebook and judging standards.
For WCMX Pro Men and Pro Women divisions:
- Classification is part of the judging process
- Riders may earn official World Series ranking points
- Divisions follow current World WCMX eligibility and competition standards
- Official judging panels and scoring criteria will be used throughout competition
Athletes competing in Pro divisions are strongly encouraged to complete their World WCMX classification before the event.
