Reflecting on the 2025 Move United Education Conference
The 2025 Move United Education Conference at Woodward Park City in Utah was truly an incredible experience for all of us. We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to present two sessions—Adaptive Skateboarding 101 and WCMX Fundamentals—and to connect with so many passionate professionals, athletes, and advocates who are committed to making action sports accessible for everyone.
Woodward’s skatepark offered the perfect backdrop to bring these sessions to life. Participants didn’t just hear about adaptive skateboarding and WCMX—they got to experience them firsthand. It was inspiring to see so many people roll out onto the street course, try new skills, and wrap up the day with a ride off the mega ramp into the airbag. The energy, curiosity, and enthusiasm were contagious.
We’re especially thankful to our teams at the S.M.C.L. Foundation & Associates and Abilities Skateboarding for coming together to share practical tools, resources, and firsthand experience. By combining education with hands-on clinics, we were able to show program directors and community leaders what it really looks like to launch adaptive skateboarding and WCMX in their own areas. For many attendees, this was their first close-up look at these sports, and it was rewarding to see the excitement and possibility take shape right in front of us.
Opportunities like this remind us why collaboration and education are so important. When we work together to break down barriers, we empower more people to discover confidence, community, and freedom of movement through adaptive sports.
A huge thank you to Move United for hosting such a meaningful event, to Woodward Park City for providing an outstanding venue, and to everyone who joined us and contributed to the experience. We’re excited to keep growing adaptive skateboarding and WCMX together, one community at a time.
