The 2025 World WCMX Championships: A Landmark Moment in Switzerland

The 2025 World WCMX Championships displayed the highest level of competition to date, and we are still in awe of the progression witnessed in Bulle, Switzerland. Riders from 9 countries traveled to compete, showcasing not only incredible skill but also the strength of the global adaptive action sports community.

Qualifiers: Rising Stars and Veteran Riders

The competition field was divided into Men’s and Women’s Pro WCMX Divisions, with classifications consolidated between Pushing and Non-Pushing classes. The morning qualifiers were electric, filled with standout performances that set the stage for unforgettable finals.

  • Amos Donath (GER) earned an honorable mention for his speed and creativity, narrowly missing a spot in the men’s finals.
  • Max Dorka (GER), one of the youngest competitors, impressed judges with his flow and fearlessness, grinding some of the most challenging rails in the park and earning his way into the finals.
  • Alex Verdoux (FRA), a newcomer, tied for 5th place after completing two flawless qualifying runs, proving his hard work had paid off.

Veteran riders also pushed the envelope. Felipe Souza (BRA) and Emiglio Pargatzi (SWS) landed daring, “one-of-a-kind” tricks that no one else attempted, leaving a strong impression despite just missing perfection in qualifiers.

In the Women’s Pro Division, Ilaria Naef (ITA), Cécile Lacomte (GER), and Bee Warman (GBR) battled through qualifying with endurance and technical precision to secure their places in the finals.

Finals: The Best of WCMX Progression

The finals at Bulle Skatepark did not disappoint. Nearly every rider landed clean, polished runs, making it one of the most competitive showdowns in WCMX history.

  • Tomas Woods (GBR) rose above the field, combining flow with high-level technical tricks including one-wheel manuals, handplants, alley-oop coping slaps, and big rail hits. His daring style secured him the World Champion title.
  • Felipe Souza (BRA) claimed 2nd place with his high-risk riding and creativity, taking unique lines and landing one-wheel spins and massive gaps out of the park.
  • David Lebuser (GER) rounded out the podium in 3rd, impressing with stylish chair slides and a standout handplant transfer.

In the Women’s Pro Division, Bee Warman (GBR) took the crown, followed by Cécile Lacomte (GER) in 2nd and Ilaria Naef (ITA) in 3rd. Their runs reflected the strength, technical ability, and resilience of women in WCMX.
